This was my second visit and both times myself and two friends were disappointed. We sat there for about 15 minutes before we were served. The two staff members on Saturday September 1 lacked hospitality and customer focus. I want this place to succeed but we will not be back until I see a commitment to customer service. I suggest professional development days with staff on best practices to help this place thrive. It has all the potential in the world but right now after reviewing these reviews and my own experience I will not be back.
Great food, great beer, and wonderful Irish music. Pan fried cod with great, the burger was fantastic, shepherd's pie and fish and chips were also good. The only disappointment was a seafood chowder that they are removing from the menu (and they removed from our bill). Great service and reasonable prices period a wonderful place.
My wife and I had a predinner beer at the bar. The bartender was attentive and pleasant. He had a great sense of humor. We didn't have dinner here bit would definitely recommend stopping in for a pint. They have a full dedicated guiness line of taps.
I am only giving a 3, because this is a gold mine/great spot but they've got to get their service working smoothly. Serving staff are great...it's the timing that has to be worked out to satisfy out of town visitors . I'll be back,....live music, friendly people throughout the town. Excellent!
Waited 50 minutes for chicken wings while watching the floor staff run around like maniacs arguing and running food to the wrong tables. Our drinks sat empty. When we mentioned to our server we were at that point short on time he threw a temper tantrum. Manager aggressively burst out and claimed we are very busy (pub was half full: as a restaurant owner myself being busy is sort of the point of our business). Food finally came out microwaved and inedible. We got it to go and put it in the bin up the street. Incompetent amateurs and horrible, mean-spirited people with the minds of children. Nice one lads! Legendary service!
