Bonavista Hotel is a nice place. Staff is particularly charming and helpful. The bar and restaurant inside, the Cabot Lounge, prepares solid food, has a good selection of drinks and offers the possibilities to play darts, pool and video slot machines. The rooms aren't luxurious but offer everything you need. Prices are slightly elevated but overall acceptable.
